Before you Leave:

Post Office: Give forwarding address.

Insurance companies: Life, Health, Fire & Auto.

Utilities: Gas, electric, water, telephone, fuel, trash.

Newspaper delivery.

Medical, dental and optical.
Don't Forget To...

Empty freezer; plan use of food.

Defrost freezer and clean refrigerator.

Make arrangements for Cable TV transfer.

Vacuum rugs and sweep floors.

Plan for special care needs of infants and pets.
On Moving Day

Carry enough cash or checks to cover costs of moving services and
expenses.

Carry jewelry and documents yourself.
-
Let close friends or relatives know schedule.

Double check closets, shelves, etc., to be sure they are empty.

Leave old keys needed by new tenant or owner with Realtor or owner.
At your New Address

Obtain certified check or cashier's check if necessary for closing

Check pilot light on stove, hot water heater and furnace.

Have appliances checked.
